- Amendment 0003 extends bid opening to August 3, 2011, 11 a.m. The Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, has a need for several repairs to the Main Channel service bridge for the Emsworth Locks and Dams. The work to be performed under this contract consists of furnishing all plant, materials, supplies and labor for the replacement of all bridge bearings which requires jacking of each of the bridge spans, replacement of the bulkhead hoist monorail beam and its conductor system, replacement of the service crane rails and relocation of its electric conductor rail, installation of a new upstream walkway, cleaning and painting the bridge superstructure and bulkhead structure steel, and rehabilitation of concrete work platforms. The period of performance for this procurement is estimated to be 850 calendar days after the contractor receives the notice to proceed. The NAICS for this job is 237990 and the small business size standard is $33.5 Million. Magnitude of the project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. This procurement will be unrestricted. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued approximately June 30, 2011, on-line only through Federal Business Opportunities; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specification and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this solicitation through Federal Business Opportunities at https://www.fbo.gov.
