- Solicitation Amendment 0003. FBO Modifitation/Amendment 4 - The purpose of the Federal Business Opportunity Modification/Amendment 4, posted on July 28, 2011, is to upload Solicitation Amendment 0003. Solicitation Amendment 0003 add/clarifies septic system information to the Statement of Work. Interested vendors shall acknowledge the Solicitation Amendment 0003 in accordance with Item 11 of the Amendment. The bid due date is not extended via this Amendment. This concludes additional information added by FBO Modification/Amendment 4. FBO Modification/Amendment 3 - The purpose of the Federal Business Opportunity Modification/Amendment 3, posted on July 20, 2011, is to upload solicitation Amendment 0002. Solicitation Amendment 0002 add/clarifies specification information and includes a list of pre-bid attendees. Interested vendors shall acknowledge the Solicitation Amendment 0002 in accordance with Item 11 of the Amendment. Pre-bid attendees are instructed to carefully read this amendment as some details (relocation of existing office building, disposal of Grand Rapids office building, and relocation of existing office building decking) is further clarified. This concludes additional information added by FBO Modification/Amendment 3. FBO Modification/Amendment 2 - The purpose of the Federal Business Opportunity Modification/Amendment 2, posted on July 9, 2011, is to upload the solicitation Amendment 0001. Solicitation Amendment 0001 removes the Availability of Funds FAR clause and adds a paragraph to the Statement of Work. Interested vendors shall acknowledge the Solicitation Amendment 0001 in accordance with Item 11 of the Amendment. This concludes additional information added by FBO Modification/Amendment 2. FBO Modification/Amendment 1 - The purpose of the Federal Business Opportunity Modification/Amendment 1 is to upload the solicitation and supporting documents and provide the additional information: - The pre-bid site visit remains schedule for July 12, 2011 at 10:00 Central. The site visit will be held at the Ely Air Tanker Base, Ely Municipal Airport, Ely, MN 55731. - The bid due date/time in response to this solicitation is August 4, 2011 at 2:00 pm Central. Submission instructions are included in the solicitation. The formal bid opening will be at 2:30 Central time on August 4, 2011. Attendance at the bid opening is not required. This concludes additional information added by FBO Modification/Amendment 1. The Lake States Acquisition Team is advertising a project for the Superior National Forest for Design and Construction of the Helibase Crew Office Building and related improvements at the Forest Service Tanker Base located at the Ely, Minnesota Municipal Airport. It is anticipated that this acquisition will be advertised as a HubZone set-aside and any resultant firm-fixed price contract award will be issued pursuant to FAR Part 19. In accordance with FAR Part 36.204(c), the estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000and $5,000,000. The estimated contract period of performance is 451 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. A pre-bid meeting/site visit is scheduled for July 12, 2011, the time and location will be specified in the solicitation. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes are 236220 and 5413. The Small Business Administration size standard is $33.5 million. Contractors are required to be actively registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). The successful offeror shall be required to submit Performance and Payment Bonds (100% each) of the construction cost prior to start of work. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis, the pending solicitation or any follow up information requests. The Invitation For Bids (IFB) will be posted to the FedBizOpps website on or about June 28, 2011. The work consists of providing professional engineering and architectural services; design and construction management, project administration, quality control services; and logistical support, vehicles, equipment, labor, tools and materials to complete the project on time and on schedule. The Project includes but is not limited to, Preliminary Design and Final Design, Construction Documents, Construction and Commissioning Services of a 3200 sq. foot Helibase Crew Office to meet a US Green Building Council Silver LEED certification. A pressurized mound type sewage treatment system, a 50 gpm river intake and pump building, well improvements, parking areas, tanker taxi-way expansion, associated site and utility improvements and determining and managing all environmental and construction permits. In support of the design portion of the work, the Contractor shall employ the services of experienced professional engineers and architects registered in the State of Minnesota. No hard copies of the solicitation, supporting documents and applicable amendments, if any will be provided.
