- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Pitney Bowes Inc located at 1 Elmcroft Rd, Stamford CT 06926, for the maintenance of Pitney Bowes Arrival System including software and hardware, one each under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13.106-1(b)(1), as the Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. Pitney Bowes utilizes proprietary service diagnostic software covered by patents and copyrights that has not been released to any third party sources. SSA anticipates the award of a firm fixed purchase order with a performance period of August 15, 2011 through August 14, 2012 with an option for an additional year and performance to August 14, 2013. SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Responses to this notice should be submitted by August 5, 2011. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
