- Combined Synopsis/Solicitation No. Q1574111023Amendment 0001July 27, 2011 Project Title: Insulated, Vinyl Windows for Yellowstone National Park Description of Changes:This amendment serves to provide answers to questions received in response to Solicitation Q1574111023 as follows: Question 1: Do you want the style of Double Hung (Both sashes operate) which is more expensive than a Single Hung (Bottom Sash Operates and Upper Sash is Fixed) which would be less expensive and generally speaking more efficient (less air infiltration) since you only have one operating sash. Line #1 3 5 6 7 8 10 11 12 13 15 17 Response 1: Single hungs would be ok. Question 2: Picture unit with double hung ganged each side style of windows what size should we price out for operating double hungs 24" width would be the minimum and we can go as large as 48".Line #2 96 1/2 x 54Line #11 124 x 57Line #13 113 x 58Response 2: 24 inch minimum would be ok. Question: 3: Picture unit with Casement ganged on each end style of window. What size should we price out for the casements 18" width would be the minimum.Response 3: This minimum would be ok. Question 4: Picture over awning style of window. Divide window in equal portions? Smallest height on awning is 18" Line #18 46 1/2 x 39 3/8 approx. 19 1/2" each window? Line #21 46 1/4 x 55 3/8 approx. 27 1/2" each window? Line #23 31 7/8 x 36 1/4 approx 18" each windowResponse 4: What is listed for each would be ok. Question 5: Do you want a jamb applied to the 3 1/4" vinyl frame as stated of 4 9/16", and if so, primed white is the only way it would come.Question 5: 3 1/4 in. vinyl frame is ok we will do extension as necessary. Question 6: Do you want a nailing flang or no nailing flang?Response 6: We do want nailing flang. Question 7: Are single hung vinyls ok or do you truly want double hungs where the top comes down and the bottom moves up? Most people end going with the single hungs because it is more air tight and less moving parts.Response 7: Single hungs would be fine. Offers must acknowledge receipt of this amendment and all other amendments prior to the hour and date specified in the solicitation or as amended by one of the following methods: 1) Signing and dating this amendment and returning with offer; 2) By acknowledging receipt of this amendment on each copy of the offer submitted; or 3) By separate letter or telegram which includes a reference to the solicitation and amendment numbers.
