- The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for a Contractor to design VHF and UHF Lightweight Deployable Antennas, for deployment on a free-floating balloon platform, antennas will operate suspended from a balloon-borne container, and must be omni-directional in their azimuth pattern, VHF: single transmit and single receive antenna to support a dual channel VHF relay, to cover the entire band 30-88 MHz, and to provide a VSWR <2:1 over that entire band (1.5 desirable), and UHF: a dual radiator transmit antenna system and a single receive antenna to support a four-channel UHF relay, two signals with an aggregate transmitter power of 33 dBm will feed each transmit antenna, while all four will be received on a single receive antenna. (Microsoft IE required). Additional specifications and opening and closing dates will appear in the RFQ. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for small business concerns.
