- Description
- This synopsis is for a solicitation to Operate and Maintain Water Treatment Plant at Lajes Field, Azores, Portugal. In accordance with FAR 5.202(12)-EXCEPTIONS: The proposed contract action is by Defense Agency and the proposed contract action will be made and performed outside the United States and it's outlying areas, it is the Government's intent to award from a local source. The contractor shall provide all personnel, management, sampling, tools, supplies, chemicals, repair parts, equipment, vehicles and qualified personnel necessary to operate, maintain, and repair one reverse osmosis/nanofiltration water treatment plant, as described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Work includes, but is not limited to operation, maintenance and preventive maintenance of treatment facilities, treatment of waste water, report preparation, and laboratory analysis. The contractor shall follow regulatory guidance provided by applicable Air Force Instructions, the Final Governing Standards for Portugal (FGS-P), and the Overseas Environmental Base Guideline Directive (OEBGD). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) assigned to this acquisition is 221320. This procurement is unrestricted. Period of performance will be 1 October 2011 through 30 September 2012, with four one year options, which will be included in the evaluation for award. Anticipated issue date for the solicitation is 3 August 2011. It will be available only via the Electronic Posting System (EPS), no telephone calls or written requests for this solicitation package will be accepted. All prospective offerors are responsible to visit the web frequently and obtain the solicitation any amendment or other information pertaining to this solicitation. Any prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) system and Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) in order to be eligible for award. Additional information on WAWF is available at https://wawf.eb.mil/. Note: Users can self-register before the DD Form 2875 is submitted.
