- Description
- Demolish all wooden structures including flagstone, cobblestone and masonry architectural components, concrete foundations, concrete driveways and wooden and chain link fences and poles. Cap all utilities. Protect in place the existing trees and landscape as possible. Backfill excavations, place topsoil and restore the areas with hydro-seed or mulch. Establish grass roots. Asbestos and lead paint are gone. During the project all applicable County, State, Federal environmental regulations and current base environmental management plans will be followed. Prior to work, biological survey of the landscape trees and housing structure shall be conducted for nesting of birds. Any nests found shall be reported to the based environmental and minimal disturbance shall be conducted during the nesting season 01 February through 31 August. Storm water management plans and all necessary reports and notifications will be made as outlined in contract document. Demolition debris shall be segregated to maximize reuse and recycling while minimizing disposal in the Vandenberg or off-base landfills. The Construction and Demolition requirements in the base solid waste management plan outline shall be followed. The area shall be restored with new curb and gutter along Timber Lane, Mountain View Blvd and Mulberry Drive as required. Slab and foundation shall be brought up to grade to match the surrounding area. Grade surface shall meet adjacent contours and provide flow to surface drainage structures. Hydro seed the area. It has been determined that competition will be limited to 8(a) firms located within the geographical area serviced by Region IX area District offices which includes the following: Los Angeles, Santa Ana, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, Fresno, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, and Guam, and other 8a) construction firms with an SBA approved bona fide place of buinsess within this geographic cmopetitive area, and the assigned NAICS code of 238910. All other 8(a) BD participants are deemed ineligible to submit an offer.
