- Public Announcement Purpose of announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition managementSystem (FAAAMS) Paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to informIndustry of the basis of the FAA'S decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. Outline the justification:HP retains the rights to all its proprietary software and only grants the Federal Government and other selected end-users a non-Exclusive, non transferable license, without right to sublicense for the use of each item of software on the users System.Therefore, HP is the only source for the license, software, and support since they are the only Company that has the knowledge of the software and ability to license its use to The FAA. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with this single determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above service, the FAA will evaluate this accordingly.
