- Posted Date: July 22,2011Procurement Office: U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Superfund RCRA Procurement Operations Division (3805R) 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20004 Response Date: July 27,2011 In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Emergency Management, intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order to Radiation Solutions Inc. (RSI) to purchase a 2 year maintenance and warranty for radiation solutions equipment. The justification is as follows: RSI's detection technology incorporates a fully digital system design, spectral analysis and advanced data processing. Since 2008, the agenc purchased several units from RSI and the warranety has expired or is expiring within the next year. There is no pending competition which resemles this application. This techology provides a level of radiation detection previously only attainable in laboratory equipment. Radiation Solutions will provide the Agency with maintenance, reconditining, and training consisting of product familiarization and operation. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a capability statement, which if received within ten (10) calendar days of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and provide clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
