- PROJFECT NUMBER P-518 DESIGN-BUILD CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER, AT NAVALBASE POINT LOMA, SAN DIEGO, CA. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONALPURPOSES ONLY; THEREFORE, FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. 1. Provide and install a complete and useable end product ofhumidity sensor in all Child activity areas that will meet the Guidespecification SECTION 23 09 23-N SD DIRECT DIGITAL CONTROL SYSTEMSrequirement. 2. NAVFAC SW is interested in the establishment of the boundary ofthe Child Development Center (CDC) being a portion of the PPV ground leaseat MCRD. The PPV ground lease is depicted on Parcel Map (PM) 20716 filed atthe County of San Diego on September 25, 2009 a sketch of the CDC site isshown on attached Exhibit "A". NAVFAC SW now desires the CDC site to be removed from the Lincoln/Clark SanDiego, LLC ground lease. A site survey and a metes and bounds legaldescription and plat will be needed for this action. The A&E Contractor shall: 1) Conduct a field survey to locate the boundary of the CDC site at MCRD.The rough sketch Exhibit "A" is provided for approximate locations only.Note a site visit with the Navy and the PPV partners will be required toaccurately define the boundary of the CDC site prior to the field survey. 2) Locate and show physical features including but not limited to: fences,sidewalks, mow strips and curbs. 3) The CDC site will be tied to a minimum of two survey points as shown onthe above mentioned PM 20716. 4) Prepare a legal descriptions and plat of the CDC site. The legaldescriptions and plats will be prepared in accordance with the attachedExhibit "B" Cadastral Checklist for Mapping and Legal Descriptions andRequirements for Navy/Marine Survey Mapping and Legal Descriptions. Thelegal descriptions shall be provided in Microsoft Word and the CDC platshall be on 8"x11" sheets prepared in AutoCAD Land Desktop 2006. 5) In the event the schedules are exceeded due to causes beyond the controland without fault or negligence of the Contractor, as determined by theContracting Officer, the delivery order completion date will be extended one(1) calendar day for each day of delay. Submittals and Schedule: 1) All hard copy submittals and printed items must be legible withoutmagnification. Only standard engineering scales will be acceptable (i.e. 1"= 50', 1"=100',1"= 200', etc.) Where multiple sheets are utilized, at least one sheet shallshow the entire boundary footprint of the facility. 2) All digital images, drawings, databases or any other digital files mustbe delivered in a media format that is compliant with Navy/Marine CorpsIntranet (NMCI) systems and acceptable to the Government. 3) Within 30 calendar days after award of this contract, submit two (2) hardcopies on bond dated and marked "Preliminary" of the legal description andplat. 4) Within14 calendar days after receipt of Government comments on the"Preliminary" legal descriptions and plats, respond to all comments in amanner acceptable to the Government and: A) Submit three (3) hard copies on bond paper of the legal descriptions andplats signed and sealed by a licensed land surveyor. B) Submit two (2) CD-Rom's containing each page of the legaldescriptions and plats in PDF format along with the required Microsoft Wordand AutoCAD Land Desktop format files including all auxiliary data filessuch as plot styles, text, shape files etc. as configured to reproduce an exact plot of the final plats.
