This is a SOURCES SOUGHT request only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This notice is published for market research purposes only. This notice is open to qualified business sources of all sizes. Information is sought regarding: (1) the availability and capability of all qualified business sources; (2) whether qualified business sources are small businesses, service-disabled, veteran-owned small businesses; (a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3) size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources. The Government is seeking potential sources for an Occupational Health Physician for Fitness for Duty examinations. The Occupational Health Exams Provider shall perform history and physical examinations, order and evaluate appropriate diagnostic studies, and review past medical documentation on existing employees requiring an Agency Medical Exam (Fitness for Duty) and on applicants requiring pre-employment examinations for the VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS). The Provider generates Agency Medical examination reports sufficient for determining employability of current employees and applicants. Elements of the examinations will vary depending on the physical requirements and/or medical standards of the job position. Based on medical standards or physical requirements of the job position, the Provider will determine if the individual meets or does not meet the required medical or physical standards for the job position. The number of examinations to be performed are estimated at two (2) Agency Medical Exams per month, or approximately 15-20 per year. KEY REQUIREMENTS: * Full, unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required. * Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required. * Background and/or Security Investigation required. * English Language Proficiency required. * Health Facilities must meet all required health code and safety regulations BASIC QUALIFICATIONS/KEY PERSONNEL * Education. Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. * Licensure and Registration. Must have a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (i.e., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia. * Board Certification. Specialties in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or Occupational Medicine are preferred, but other specialties may apply and will be considered.
