- Solicitation Number W81XWH-11-R-0348 will be issued on or about 4 August 2011 and proposals will be due approximately 30 days thereafter. The government's requirement is titled, MEDCOM Information Technology (MEDCOMIT) Support Services for the US Army Public Health Command and the US Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense at Aberdeen Proving Grounds at the Edgewood Area Campus, Maryland. The USAPHC is responsible for providing direct IT support services to users in the APG Egdewood Campus. Support to the US Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) activities located in the Edgewood Area of the APG installation totals more than 1,000 user accounts. USAMRICD is one of the primary support activities that requires contractor IT support services. In addition to the local campus, USAPHC networks are linked to multiple wide-are site and networks. The primary goal of this acquisition it to establish a single Indefinite-Deivery Requirements Contract for IT support servics that will enable these Agencies to accomplish mission objectives. This is a competitive, 100% 8(a) set-aside to obtain commercially available, performance based IT support services, through a firm-fixed-price contract The award is planned to have a base year and 4 option years to total a contract period of 60 months. All responsible sources may submit an offer for consideration. Award is anticipated on or about 14 October 2011.
