Description
Project Name: Painting of Four (4) Buildings at the James A. Garfield National Historic Site in Mentor, OhioThe North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) Code: 238320 " Painting and Wall Covering Contractors" The Small Business Size Standard is $14.0 Million In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of the requirement for this contract is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00 The Solicitation Number for this Project is P11PS00302. The US Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office is soliciting proposals for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to provide all labor, supplies, equipment and material necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work consists of but not all inclusive furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to: Paint of Four (4) Buildings at the James A. Garfield National Historic Site in Mentor, Ohio. This project involves the preparing and painting the exteriors of four (4) buildings-Carriage House (also known as Visitor Center), Restroom Building, Windmill, and Horse Barn-at James A. Garfield National Historic Site to match existing colors. Included are all wood features of the mentioned buildings including wall siding or wall shingles, doors, door frames, exterior entry ways, shutters, windows and window frames, and cupola siding. Not included are the roofs/roof shingles and any metal hinges, signs, and any other features not currently painted in the soft green color. Lead Paint was discovered and mitigated during preservation work in the 1990's on the historic buildings; it is unknown what potential there is for this current project. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested and qualified parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted electronically on or about August 8, 2011 at the following website: www/fedbizopps.gov. All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following the date of posting of the Solicitation unless extended. NOTE: POSTING DATE OF SOLICITATION IS NOT DEFINATE. IF SOLICITATION IS POSTED, IT MAY BE SEVERAL WEEKS EARLIER OR LATER THAN DATE SPECIFIED ABOVE. It is the responsibility of the interested vendor to check for updates to this posting. No phone calls or emails will be answered concerning the posting date if any of the above solicitation.
