- The Department of Commerce, Monitor National Marine Sanctuary, Newport News, Virginia has a requirement for all labor, equipment and materials necessary for contractor crew support services operating and maintaining NOAA Small Research Vessel Experimental R-8501as described in the Statement of Work provided with the solicitation. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order is anticipated utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The period of performance is date of award through August 31, 2011 with two (2) option periods. The contract is expected to be awarded on or about August 1, 2011. The applicable NAICS number is 483114 and the small size standard is $500 employees. The Federal Supply Class is J499. This requirement is 100% set aside for Small business. The request for quotations is only available on line by downloading from this site. In order to comply with the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, ALL CONTRACTORS must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to be considered for an award of a Federal Contract. For information regarding registration in CCR, contact the CCR website at www.ccr.gov/index.cfm. Additionally, each offeror must obtain, and provide with the quote, their nine-digit Dun and Bradstreet (DUNS) number. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Quotes are to remain effective for 30 days after close of solicitation. Contractors are encouraged to register with FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service.
