- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Maneuvering and Control Division (Code 5600) has a requirement for controllers, boards and modules to replace obsolete non-tactial components on the Ship Control Maintenance Trainer Device and Ship Control Operator Trainer. In support of this effort, NSWCCD intends to negotiate a non-competitive procurement using Simplified Acquisition Procedures and award a firm-fixed price purchase order to National Instruments for controllers, boards, trainers and other related parts necessary to overhaul the above referenced submarine trainers. National Instruments is the only vendor available to provide hardware compatible with the existing trainer by employing LabVIEW as the software development environment, sharing the same platform and using the same components where feasible. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals received by 10 August 2011 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
