- The Navy Recruitment Command (NDC) Mobile Recruiter Initiative (MRI) will provide Production Recruiters with mobile computing technology that enables the completion of recruiting duties from a private sector environment independent of Navy Recruiting Stations and the Navy and Marine Corps Infrastructure (NMCI) network. The expanded mobility will provide recruiters greater access to qualified applicants and will reinforce the Navy ™s superior technological image and professionalism in support of Navy Recruiting goals and objectives. In order to provide the MRI mobility capability, NRC has assembled a complete mobile kit containing a convertible tablet computer, printer, scanner and fingerprint capture device. The contour roller bag is a key element in protecting, organizing and carrying this complete mobile office on wheels. NDC has chosen the Kensington K62348 contour roller bag. This requirement is to provide the delivery of 4,700 Kensington K62348 17-inch Contour Roller and Carry Bags. This is a brand name SAP CI acquisition to be competed by small business suppliers for the Kensington K62348. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a), a brand name acquisition under the authority of the test program for certain commercial items. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
