- This solicitation is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/ and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil/ While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) type contract resulting from the solicitation with delivery beginning in stages commencing five (5) days from the date of Award. The required terms are F.O.B.: Destination; Inspection/Acceptance: Origin. FAR Subpart 6.3,Other Than Full and Open Competition; FAR 6.302-1,Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements applies to this acquisition. Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division intends to award a contract utilizing FAR Part 12 procedures on a Sole Source basis to Glenair Inc. 1211 Air Way Glendale, CA 91201. Solicitation will be issued for a Firm Fixed Priced contract for 414 each Pin Saver Sets (P/N 941-005-NFF35SN-98 and P/N 941-005-NHF35SN-98). One each comprises one set of Pin Savers. The Pin Savers shall protect and interface with the Multi-Spectral Targeting System (MTS) turret Input/output connectors and shall interface with the MH-60R helicopters. This will be a Commercial Acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12, utilizing Far Part 13.5 procedures. The solicitation will be available on or about 26 Aug 2011 at the following address: http://www.fbo.gov Contractors submitting proposals to the solicitation must be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in accordance with FAR 4.11. To be eligible for award contractors must be properly registered in the Government ™s Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Offerors may obtain information on CCR registration and the annual confirmation requirements by calling 1-888-227-2423, or via the internet at http://www.ccr.gov. RFPs are in portable document format (PDF). No hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Interested sources must download from the www site listed. To download and view these documents, you will need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. This software is available free at http://www.adobe.com. All changes to the requirement that occur prior to the closing date will be posted to the FedBizOpps. It is the responsibility of interested vendors to monitor the Crane website, FedBizOpps for amendments that may be issued to this solicitation. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
