- Description
- The Contracts Department of the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego, in accordance with FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5 intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price purchase order on a sole source basis to NISY, IPE of San Carlos, CA for a Qualified Expert to evaluate radiation safety of the research environment of the Naval Post Graduate School ™s (NPS) Beam Phyisics Laboratory. The Government intends to solict and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR Part 6.302 as only Nisy Ipe has been approved by a certification letter by the Radiation Affairs Support Office (RASO) under the Naval Sea Systems Command Detachment as a qualified expert for accelerators and shielding design for this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Commercial procedures will be used.
