- MICC, West Point intends to award a Sole Source contract to Blackburn Trumpets. The United States Military Academy's 'Hellcats' performers require a particular tone that is specific to only this make and model. These instruments have many hand-crafted parts and various fine tuning and vendors who have not made the existing equipment will not be able to match the musical requirements demanded by the Hellcats.
