Description

Under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 (Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), the Washington, D.C. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (DC VAMC) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Document Storage Systems (DSS), Inc. Contractor will provide interfaces to solve the problem of electronic documentation, continum of care, advance clinical access, and clinical workflow. The interfaces will exchange data bi-directionally between VISTA/CPRS and Anesthesia Recordkeeping/Intensive Care Unit (ARK/ICU) applications. The interface is a key element in the creation of an electronic medical record for the critical care areas. DSS created a comprehensive DataBridge to solve the problem of electronic documentation in a critical care or anesthesiology environment. DataBridge is an interface that filters information between VISTA/CPRS and commercial ARK/ICU system successfully integrating the systems together using various communication technologies. This is a notice of intent and is not for competitive proposals. No solicitation package is available. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within discretion of the Government. Responses must be received no later than August 1, 2011 @ 2:00pm, EST. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
