- The purpose of this project is to award a design build contract to rehabilitate, repair and replace the various components of the Kajaki Dam Irrigation Intake Structure and to rehabilitate, repair and replace the existing piezometers and additional monitoring instrumentation for dam safety at the Kajaki dam site located in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. The Government intends to make one award as a result of this solicitation. Award of a contract will be made to the responsible offeror who submits the lowest price technically acceptable proposal to the Government. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by AES. Offers will be evaluated using the lowest price technically acceptable process in accordance with the evaluation criteria stipulated in the solicitation. The applicable NAICS code is 237990 ($33.5M small business size standard). The resulting contract is for 270 calendar days. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $5M - $10M.
