- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Furnish all labor, material, equipment and qualified supervision for the complete replacement of the pavement of the outpatient clinic parking area and roadway to include curbing, sidewalk work, storm/sewer modifications, earthwork to meet slope requirements, also includes repair and sealing of all cracks in south parking lots as shown on drawings and specs. Project also includes the replacement of both the west and east sidewalks by the main entrance and the installation of a heated portion of the area outside of the main entrance for patient drop-off at the VA Medical Center Iron Mountain, Michigan. All work is to be completed within 11 months after the issuance of the notice to proceed. This construction project is set-aside for Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSBs). All prospective contractors must be registered on the VetBiz website, www.vetbiz.gov, to be considered for award. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be posted on Fedbizops. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation packages. The solicitation will be issued on/about August 12, 2011 with the bid opening on/about September 14, 2011. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from Fedbizops which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006. Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to VOSB construction firms. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 - $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 238990; size standard $14 Million applies. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration and in accordance with FAR 2.101, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and in the VetBiz databases prior to award. Firms may obtain CCR information at http://www.ccr.gov and VetBiz information at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
