- Description
- The VA Connecticut Healthcare System located at 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT 06516, intends to release Solicitation VA-241-11-RP-1036 for the replacement of existing controls for air handling units serving the seven (7) Operating Rooms (OR) and recovery rooms located on the Third floor of Building 1, as well as replacement of the air terminal units, removal of steam humidifiers and associated piping, cleaning of ductwork in entire OR Suite, and balancing of system. Design and Construction shall be in accordance with VA Design Guide, VA Master Specification, AIA Guidelines for Design and Construction of Healthcare Facilities, Federal, State, and Local codes and/or requirements. The full solicitation is expected to be posted on FEDBIZOPPS www.fbo.gov on or about August 4, 2011. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAICS code is 238220 with an applicable small business size standard of $14 Million. Performance period is 150 calendar days after award. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFP solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. Award will be based on the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors used may be price related, technical factors using a management approach, and past performance. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until a solicitation is issued. All interested parties should register via the FEDBIZOPPS interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FebBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance with FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov) is required. As well, in accordance with VAAR 804.1102, prospective bidders must also be registered in VetBiz (www.vetbiz.gov) and listed in the VIP database prior to award. Please note that Effective October 1, 2010, all solicitations issued in accordance with the Veteran's First Contracting Program requires all contractors be VERIFIED by the Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization's Center for Veteran's Enterprise (CVE) prior to receiving an award under the program.
