- The USPFO for Puerto Rico - Purchasing and Contracting Division, is soliciting sealed bids for the construction of the Live Fire Shoot House Training Facility for the Puerto Rico Army National Guard. Project will be executed at Camp Santiago Joint Maneuver Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico. Project 436023: work includes but is not limited to: Construction of Live Fire Shoot House training facility that meets the Camp Santiago Standard of cast in place concrete construction with concrete masonry unit CMU infill. Roof system will be standing seam metal roof. Floor system will be concrete slab on grade. Work includes ventilation, telecommunications, electrical and installation of the ballistic portion wall system, safety ceiling, safety sidewalls and catwalk system. Support Facilities associated with the project include: After Action Review (AAR) Building, Ammunition Breakdown Building and Live Fire Shoot House Mock Up (Knee Wall) with site grading, site utilities, various roads, parking area and associated fencing. Magnitude of construction for project is from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The applicable codes are: FSC Code - Y199, SIC Code - 1542, NIACS Code - 236210 and the corresponding size standard is $33.5M. The selection process will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available on or about 9 August 2011. A Pre-bid conference and site visit will be scheduled after release of the solicitation. Actual dates and times will be identified in the solicitation. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend and should register in accordance with the specifications to be provided in the solicitation, prior to attending for clearance to the facility. All information, amendments and questions concerning this solicitation will be electronically posted at the following web page: http://www.fbo.gov. This will normally be the only method of distributing amendments; therefore, it is the bidder's responsibility to check the web site periodically for any amendments to this solicitation. Web sites are occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance activities. The government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for any bidder's inability to access the documents posted on the referenced web pages.
