- Description
- The US Geological Survey intends to award a noncompetitive contract to Badger Security Integration to furnish and install SMART Card Access Equipment in order to secure seven access points/doors at National Wildlife Health Center, Madison, WI. The equipment provided must be fully integrated into the current security system, which features components manufactured by AMAG Technology and presently controls 57 secure doors and access points. Badger Security is the only supplier and installer for AMAG systems in Wisconsin. The equipment to be furnished and installed includes seven S-844 Contactless SMART Card Readers, two cabinets with associated boards and power supplies, seven HES Model 5000 12/24 VDC electric strikes, two Sargent Tzone lever-style door handles, and cable to connect equipment to the existing AMAG Security Management System. Request for Proposal G11PS00721, which will be made available to Badger Security Integration on or about July 25, 2011 with an intended award on or about August 1, 2011. This is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms believing that they can fulfill the requirement are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer at kmurray@usgs.gov. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency by July 26, 2011. Determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code is 423610.
