- RFI#1Please find requested answers below: 1. Please let me know if you and your team will allow Renegade to bid a NIJ ‘06 ballistic package for the solicitation? Sure, especially since the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) advises all organizations to procure the most recent and up-to-date version of this standard. Please ensure they meet the NIJ standards-0101.06 (Ballistic Resistance of Body Armor). Publication of the revision of the standard does not invalidate or render unsuitable any body armor models previously determined by NIJ to be compliant to either the NIJ 2005 Interim Requirements or the NIJ Standard-0101.04 Rev. A Requirements. (http://www.ncjrs.gov/pdffiles1/nij/223054.pdf) 2. Please confirm Shipping Point is New York? No. If possible direct shipment to Ramstein. 3. Please advise if each vest includes a Soft Trauma 5x8 Plate and (CLIN 0010) 816ea Soft Trauma Plates are in fact additional? Yes, we need 816 additional soft trauma plates. The new vests should come with the plates. 4. Are shirt tails required? The shirt tails are not required. 5. KDH Defense offers vests that are successfully tested against fragmentation threat at no additional cost? This is not required at the moment. We are okay with the additional "FREE" capabilities as long it doesn't adversely effects the members mobility or otherwise negatively impacts the mission capability.
