- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement to provide janitorial services at the Air Route Traffic Control Center, 1850 S. Sigsbee Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Services are to commence on or about October 1, 2011 for an initial base year, plus Four (4) one-year option periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation and supervision to provide janitorial services 7 days a week, including weekends and all holidays. THIS SOLICITATION HAS BEEN 100% SET-ASIDE FOR COMPETITION AMONG SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. Company must have at least three (3) years experience in janitorial services to include other government agencies or large size companies and have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year prior to award and have an office within a one hundred (100) mile radius of the facility. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. Map Quest will be the site used to determine the distance. No Post Office Box Address will be accepted. Evaluation of proposals to this SIR will rely heavily on Past Performance. The Government is seeking offers that provide the best combination of quality and price in order to select the greatest value of "Best Buy" offers. Therefore, award may be made to other than the lowest offer. The contractor and all employees of this contract will be subject to a Background Investigation by the FAA Security Division. Only firms who meet the above referenced qualifications may request a (SIR). Company mailing address must be within the one hundred (100) mile radius of the Indianapolis, Indiana site. All other requests will not be accepted. No phone requests will be accepted. Request for the SIR's will not be accepted afterJuly 29, 2011. The estimated procurement value for the subject project is estimated between$750,000.00 and $1,500,000.00 for the the initial base period and 4 one (1) year options. The contractor awarded the contract must have an active registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov NAICS Code is 561720 This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
