- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at https://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase undersea telecommunications cable with various armoring types including reels, cable testing and test reports. The following types and lengths of cable are required: Item 0001 Double Armored/Single Armored with cable transition 3,100 meters including reel. Item 0002 Lightweight Armored Cable 8,187 meters including reel. Item 0003 Special Applications Cable 57,937 meters including reel. Item 0004 Lightweight Cable 37,048 meters including reel. Item 0005 Lightweight Mechanical Cable 11,039 meters including reel. A performance specification will be provided with the solicitation. Required delivery is six months after award. Delivery is required to the Ocean Construction Support Facility, Portsmouth, VA. This procurement is being processed using full and open competition and commercial procedures set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation will be issued in less than 15 days. The applicable NAICS is 335921. Size standard is 1,000 employees. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical acceptability, price and past performance. Offers must provide information describing the technical characteristics of the cable offered and its compliance with the government ™s performance specification. Each evaluation factor is equally important. Offers must be submitted to Commercial Acquisition Department, Building 11, Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, Code 59113, Simonpietri Drive, Newport, Rhode Island 02841-1708. The solicitation will state the closing due date and time.
