Description
Solicitation Amendment The Government is contemplating to contract for A&AS Engineering services on behalf of the A-10 Systems Program Office (SPO). The services contemplated include the following: 1) The engineering services will provide direct support to multiple avionics modifications programs, specifically, but not limited to, A-10 Suite software capability updates, HMIT, CDU, AIFF, and Ethernet. 2) The contractor shall support A-10 Engineering with all functions required to modify avionics (hardware and software). 3) The contractor will work with SPO functionalities to include engineers, equipment specialists, and program managers; along with software developers, end users, and members of the test community, to provide direct engineering support for software capability upgrades and modifications. 4) The contractor will develop and brief, as required, program schedule, engineering impacts, installation, cost, and requirements information. 5) The contractor will assist with convening and supporting Program Management Reviews and other related meetings. 6) The contractor will assist in identifying sustainment elements in requirements documentation, collecting cost data, and estimating A-10 SPO resources required to sustain the weapon system and assisting to verify the data’s accuracy. 7) The contractor shall collect and provide data required to effectively support integrating and planning for software capability upgrades to the A-10 weapon system. 8) The contractor shall prepare documents and plans utilizing MS Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, etc. 9) The contractor shall generate engineering feasibility studies and software requirements and sustainment documents and/or other acquisition documents, assemble pertinent data, coordinate engineering features in conjunction with applicable engineers, and shall finalize related documentation/information for presentation. The Period of Performance includes the basic year plus 4 one year options. The Contractor may be required to travel to various locations to be determined. The contractor is not required to submit or provide any documentation at this time to the Contracting Officer.
