Description
Response Due 08/04/2011 Request for Information (RFI) Automated Medical Quarters System The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Code 6.3.2.0, is seeking information on a commercially available automated medical quarters system. The IT solution will generate a medical quarters slip that will aggregate, rollup, analyze and present real time data to include medical absences and the reporting of daily duty status. Data capture is initiated by physicians or nurses either through the existing clinical information system (AHLTA) or an alternative prototype. The medical quarters slip is generated through the system and is forwarded to the patient, orderly room, Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC) and Commanders. Commanders at all echelons should have the ability to view the quarters information for their unit or command via the AF portal or other suitable IT solution. This process includes satisfying the needs of the nuclear Personnel Readiness Program (PRP). The process is also used to quarantine a suspected infectious disease outbreak. Real-time MQ data strengthens early warning of a potential health outbreak and allows a more accurate prediction of mission readiness. The target audience for this information is the Air Force Medical Service, and all submittals should be suited to their specific needs. This information is being reviewed to conduct objective comparative assessments and validation of commercial equipment and systems. All information received will be treated as public knowledge; therefore, vendors should not submit proprietary information in response to this RFI. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL 2. Whether a purchased product or a service-based product is offered 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address 4. A brief description (75 words or less) of capabilities and existing or related products. 5. Any relevant cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. Submittals Questions of a technical nature should be address to the technical point of contact, Joe Schepisi at Joseph.H.Schepisi@navy.mil. This RFI is for information gathering and planning purposes only, and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or solicitation of an offer. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of submission of responses to this RFI and the Government's use of such information. Respondents of this RFI may be requested to provide additional information/details based on their initial submittals. E-mail your non-technical questions and submittals to the Contract Specialist, Paula Somers, at paula.somers@navy.mil.
