- DESCRIPTION: Road Reconditioning for FSR No. 701 & 700 - Project includes surface blading, ditch cleaning, culvert cleaning, placement of crushed aggregate, roadside brushing, ditch reconstruction, replacement of a culvert, and seeding & mulching. Two additional bid option items will be available which include similar work listed above and placement of 750 Tons of crushed aggregate. GOVERNMENT COST ESTIMATE: Between $25,000 and $100,000 SITE LOCATION: FSR 701 & 700 are located within the administrative boundaries of the Clinch Ranger District, George Washington and Jefferson National Forests, in Wise and Scott Counties, Virginia. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE AND SITE VISIT INFORMATION: Contract time will be 35 calendar days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed. A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Clinch Ranger District Office located at 9416 Coeburn Mountain Road, Wise VA 24293 on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 am. CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS: Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) and must have completed a profile in the Online-Representations and Certifications (ORCA) database prior to award of a contract. CCR registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. ORCA registration can be completed on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration. SET-ASIDE: This project is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this project is 237310; the small business size standard is $33.5 million. BONDING INFORMATION: A bid guarantee is NOT required. Contractor WILL BE REQUIRED to furnish 100% Payment Protection in the form of an irrevocable letter credit or a payment bond to the USDA, Forest Service within 10 calendar days of the date it receives notice of award. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: Solicitation AG-3395-S-11-0019 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as a Request for Quotation and will be available for downloading on or around July 28, 2011 at the website address: http://www.fbo.gov/. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor.
