1.0 ABSTRACT This item describes the requirement of a Technical Representative to assist ship's force with the repair and restoration of the Degaussing System. 2.0 REFERENCES: None 3.0 ITEM LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION 3.1 Location/Quantity. 3.1.1 Location: USNS CARL BRASHEAR, Santa Rita, Guam 3.2 Item Description/Manufacturer's Data: Advanced Degaussing System, Bipolar AMP Unit 4.0 GOVERNMENT FURNISHED EQUIPMENT/ MATERIALS/ SERVICES: None 5.0 NOTES 5.1 Performance Period: 27 July to 13 September 2011 5.2 Performance Location: Guam Shipyard Santa Rita, Guam 5.3 Access to MSC ships will be IAW the MSFSC Contractor Access clause. 5.3.1 The following information is required: 5.3.1.1 U.S. Citizen Contractors: Full Name; Last 4 SSN; Ship Attending; Reason for Visit; Dates Requiring Access. 5.3.1.2 Non-U.S. Citizen Contractors: Full Name; Date of Birth; Nationality; SSN, Passport No. or ARC No.; Ship Attending; Reason for Visit; Dates Requiring Access. 5.4 Email BASE access requests to Norma Pilman of SSU Guam. (Norma.Pilman@fe.navy.mil), Office (671) 339-5341. Provide the same information as in 5.3.1.1 and 5.3.1.2. 6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: None 7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK: 7.1 Provide the service of one (1) Authorized Ultra Electronics OEM rep. The OEM Rep shall be familiar with the Degaussing System, Bipolar AMP Units which are installed on the T-AKE Class Vessels. 7.2 OEM Rep to travel to Santa Rita, Guam where the ship will be located. Performance period shall be from 27 July to 13 September 2011. Please note that the ship will be on ship's power from 27 July until approximately 03 August. From 03 August until 08 September the ship will be on shore power. 7.3 OEM Rep will provide support for the ship's crew to restore the Degaussing System to full operation. The system is currently OOC. 7.3.1 The Degaussing Control Unit located in the EOS is signaling a Communication Loss. 7.3.2 Provide necessary parts and complete software upgrades. 7.4 OEM Rep shall replace all necessary parts to restore system. 7.5 OEM Rep shall verify all BPAU settings, measure all BPAU voltage measurements, and perform a survey of the software and circuit card assembly revisions to affirm that all of the circuit cards in all 43 BPAU units have been modified and are up to date. OEM Rep shall make any necessary updates required for the system. 7.6 OEM Rep shall provide training for the ship's crew on the Degaussing System. 7.7 Preparation of Drawings: None additional. 8.0 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: None
