- The National Park Service intends to issue a Solicitation (#P11PS50925) for a Firm-Fixed Price contract to provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials and supervision necessary to deliver and stockpile 10,000 tons of crushed-dewatered stone (1-inch minus) within Big Cypress National Preserve, Ochopee, Florida 34141. This will be set-aside for small business. The anticipated period of performance for the resulting contract is 30 calendar days award. All work will be performed under a single contract. All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the specifications provided in the Solicitation documents posted on this site. This Solicitation will be issued electronically, on the Department of Interiors National Business Center (NBC) web site, at http://ideasec.nbc.gov or at www.fbo.gov on or about July 29, 2011, with a response date of August 29, 2011. No paper copies will be issued. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with DOI should register at the National Business Center. Proposal documents will be made available in the Microsoft Word, HTML and Adobe PDF. Offerors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at http://ideas.nbc.gov. This service is provided for convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee notification. Subscribers to this service are ultimately responsible for reviewing http://ideasec.nbc.gov site for all information relevant to this solicitation. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. A site inspection is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, August 09, 2011 at 9:30am. See attachment 1 to the pending solicitation for further information regarding the site inspection. Any questions MUST be submitted via email to Mary_Stefanos@nps.gov by noon (EST) on August 15, 2011. An amendment may be posted to clear up any ambiguities or answer all questions received at one time. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the National Park Service must be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423320, and the small business size standard is 100 employees; this will be a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote ONLINE, which if submitted in a timely manner, will be considered. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be issued.
