- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Mid South Area, has a project entitled "Renovate Fish Houses" at the USDAS, ARS, Auburn AL. location. The work includes but is not limited to furnishing all labor, materials, supervision, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with the specifications for modernize/Update Fish Houses, Aquatic Animal Research Facility, Auburn, AL. The period of performance is 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The magnitude of construction is estimated between $100,000 and $250,000. This is a 100% set-aside for competition among Small Business Contractors. The NAICS Code is 236220, with a size standard of $33.5 million. This is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-32. Solicitation No. AG-4431-S-11-0016 is scheduled for release on July29, 2011. Interested contractors are to go to web site: www.fbo.gov. to submit their requests for a bid package. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for Thursday, 08/11/2011 @10:00 a.m. CST. Any changes or additional information will be provided in the solicitation package. Bid will be due by 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 1, 2011. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. All responsible Small Businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the agency. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website at www.ccr.gov in order to receive a contract award under this solicitation, and register or update their registration at the Online Representation and Certification Application website at http://orca.bpn.gov.
