- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00189-11-Q-2772. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-52 and DFARS Change Notice 200XXXXX. The proposed contract action is for a brand name or equal product. The brand name, model number, and salient characteristics of the product(s) are: Dell T3500 Workstations with Quad Core 2.5 GHz or better, 4GB SDRAM Memory, Dual Monitor ready, 300+ GB Hard drive, and16XDVD-ROM. FAR 52.211-6 -- Brand Name or Equal is hereby incorporated by reference. Provide information required by FAR 52.211-6 when submitting offers for brand name or equal products. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm. The FISC Norfolk Contracting Department anticipates award of a firm-fixed price contract and requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing: Workstation Computers. The NAICS code is 334113 and the Small Business Standard is 1000 employees. For this solicitation, the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk, Norfolk Contracting Department intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider. A Seller may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. All responsible Sellers that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their offer using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com. There is no cost to register, review procurement data or submit a offer on www.FedBid.com. Sellers that are not currently registered to use www.FedBid.com should proceed to the website to complete their free registration. Sellers may not artificially manipulate the price of a transaction on www.FedBid.com by any means.
