- The Fort Riley NEC requires the continuation of extended warranty and maintenance of the Harris/MACOM Land Mobile Radio System currently in use at Fort Riley, Kansas. Fort Riley currently utilizes the Harris/MACOM P25 Compliant LMR system for all trunked and digital radio communications for the installation. This acquisition is necessary for the continued performance of the system without interruption. Harris Corporation maintains proprietary ownership of all system software and updates to the system. Without the continued regular service and updates from Harris Corporation, it could severely impact emergency communications within the installation.
