Description
Attached Spreadsheet, total 9 pages, dtd 14 July 2011. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation, but market research. Ref: PKD-11. The government is looking for vendors who can provide all the items on ONE contract. If more than ONE contract is required, please prepare each quote separately by Manufacturer. The potential contract is to purchase communication items. (SEE ATTACHED SPREADSHEET DTD 14 JULY 2011. - Total 9 pgs.). The attached spreadsheet includes the hardware, software, and support requirements for this project. Each item has a specific part number that the govt wants to purchase. The support items are identified with specific part numbers. Our desire is to receive the support associated with that part number which includes 24/7 telephone support with the next-day parts delivery for hardware and downloadable updates with 24/7 telephone support software. As for licensing, it is not for a particular product. It provides access to a knowledge base for multiple areas for development. Equipment installation is not required. This project is part of an upgrade and tech-refresh project for the storage infrastructure located at Langley's Communication Squadron. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334112.. This sources sought synopsis neither constitutes a Request for Proposal (RFP), nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will assess prospective sources' potential based on the qualification packages provided. Firms considered by the Government to be most highly qualified to deliver upgrade and tech refreshing system solutions will be contacted by the Contracting Officer. Firms considered by the Government not to be most highly qualified to deliver the upgrade and tech refreshing system solutions will be afforded an opportunity to obtain the Government's rationale and offered the opportunity to provide additional information. Any interested source initially evaluated as not most highly qualified will be provided a copy of the solicitation upon request, should one be issued, and any offer submitted by such a firm would be evaluated without prejudice. Firms should indicate whether they are a large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, 8(a) concern, and woman-owned small business, whether they qualify as socially or economically disadvantaged, and whether they are a U.S. or foreign-owned firm.
