- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to issue on a sole source basisto General Dynamics Electric Boat Corporation, 75 Eastern Point Road,Groton, CT 06340 a modification to Contract N00024-10-C-4301 awarded as aresult of solicitation N00024-10-R-4301 for a simulation system needed torecertify U.S. floating dry-dock SHIPPINGPORT (ARDM-4) to be located at theNaval Submarine Base, New London, CT. Electric Boat Corporation is the onlyprivate nuclear qualified shipyard certified to operate the floatingdry-dock. The modification to the contract will be issued in accordance with10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one or a limited number of responsible sources andno other types of supplies or services will satisfy agency requiremnets. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which theGovernment intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under theauthority of FAR 6.303. This notice of intent is not a request forcompetitive proposals. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunitiesshould contact Electric Boat Corporation directly. See Numbered Note 22.
