- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT- 802nd CONS on Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, intends to solicit and award a sole source contract to Matera Paper Company, Inc., 835 North W W White Road, San Antonio, Texas 78219-2714 for Go-Rag Taskmate Wiper and Kimcare Body Wash for the fitness centers on Lackland AFB. This sole source requirement meets the conditions of FAR 13.106-1(b) (1); only one responsible source has been identified as reasonably available to provide the supplies that will satisfy the agency requirements. Matera Paper Company is the only known company that distributes the Go-Rag dispenser and Kimcare Hair and Body Wash System for the Lackland fitness centers. Additionally, Matera furnished the dispenser units every fitness center on Lackland. The Go-Rag Taskmate Wipers and Kimcare Body Wash is the only brand compatible with the current dispenser equipment; therefore, theproducts must be purchased from Matera Paper Company, Inc. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids, quotes, or proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 325620 and the Small Business size standard is 500 employees. This will be a firm fixed price contract. The purchase of this requirement includes the following: CLIN 0001 White Go-Rag Taskmate Wiper 330'6rl/cs Part Number: GP-20035, 1000 EA CLIN 0002 Kimcare Hair and Body Wash 1000ml 6/CS Part Number: KS-91557, 1000 EA Interested parties are required to provide the above brand name requirements. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however all responsible sources that believe they can meet all of the requirements may submit a quote, which shall be considered. If no responses are received by 12:00 p.m. Central Standard Time, 13 July 2011, a Sole Source contract will be pursued with Matera Paper Compan, Inc.
