- The US Army Soldier Systems Center, Army Contracting Command, Natick, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Advanced Materials Center of Ottawa, IL, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i)(A), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, sub-paragraph (ii) Supplies may be deemed to be available only from the original source in the case of a follow-on contract for continued development or production (etc.), services to determine the rate and percentage of biodegradation and disintegration of six biodegradable polymer film samples. Advanced Materials Center has unique knowledge and extensive expertise in the area of biodegradation testing. Advanced Materials Center is also certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute to perform biodegradation testing and is able to award certification once all ASTM requirements are met.
