Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Eastern Logistics Service Area, College Park, GA has a requirement for the replacement of the Power Service Building Fire Alarm System located at the Miami Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC); Miami, Florida. This Requirement is solicited as FULL and OPEN Competition and is open to all qualified business classfications. To be considered for the award of this project, the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: www.ccr.gov). The NAICS code for the acquisition is 238210; Fire Alarm System Installation. This solicitation is issued on Tuesday; July 12, 2011 with all offers due on Wednesday; August 17, 2011; 4:00 p.m. (EST) The Anticipated start date of project is January 2012. Please see Section "L" of the solicitation for complete proposal submission information. Proposals may be submitted via Email to Maxine.peace@faa.gov; the US Postal Service or any other commercial mail courier service. This solicitation package and all attachments can be found on the FAA Opportunities website at https://faaco.faa.gov/index.cfm. Click on Current Announcements and then select "Southern Region" for the By Region box. A site visit will be held on Wednesday; July 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Miami ARTCC; 7500 NW 58th Street; Miami, Florida. For security coordination, all businesses interested in attending the site visit must submit their business name, point of contact information and all individuals who will be attending to Manual Loinaz at manual.loinaz@faa.gov no later than Friday; July 22, 2011. All questions should be put in writing and addressed to the Contracting Officer, Maxine L. Peace at Maxine.Peace@faa.gov. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
