- This is a Pre-Solicitation Synopsis for the Army Contracting Command-Rock Island (ACC-RI) for solicitation W52P1J-11-R-0024, which serves as notification to industry of the procurement of Defense Video and Imagery Distribution System (DVIDS) throughout the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (ONCONUS) Area of Responsibility (AOR). This requirement is for maintenance and repair of existing DVIDS systems and procurement of new systems capable of operating in the DVIDS environment in support of the U.S. Army Central (USARCENT) United States Third Army within the Central Command (CENTCOM). The proposed contract action is for these services which includes all the personnel and supplies to facilitate. The contract will also require the offeror to provide a 24/7/365 help desk to respond to DVIDS customer requests as well as provide DVIDS training to DVIDS system operators and Lifecycle Sustainment Managers. The intent is to solicit on a full and open basis. The proposed action is for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract with a period of performance of one base year with four option years. THIS SOLICITATION WILL BE ISSUED ON THE WEB VIA FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES (http://www.fbo.gov). No paper copies of the solicitation or amendments will be issued. No public announcement of any amendments will be made. Any changes to the solicitation shall be posted to this website. Vendors are advised to periodically check the web page for new amendments or other updates. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check these sites daily for any posted changes. All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted to the Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer prior to the closing date. Estimated release date of the RFP is on or about 22 July 2011 and closing will be approximately 30 days later. Closing date/date for receipt of offers is found on Page 1 of the solicitation and within any issued amendments and is not the response deadline shown by this website.
