- Description of salient characteristics This is a Request for Information-this is NOT a Request for Quotation. Information received in response to this notice will not serve as the basis of a purchase order award. The Department of Defense Task Force for Business Stabilization Operations has a requirement for a manual marble polishing machine and a 360 hour supply of polishing media. The exact delivery point is TBD, but will be 45-60 days ARO FOB Destination to a commercial facility in LashKar Gah in Helmund Province in Afghanistan. A description of the required salient characteristics is attached. Please note that only manual machines will meet this requirements. The requirement is not for an automatic machine. Please note that neither the Buy America Act nor the Trade Agreements Act would be applicable to this procurement. Contractors interested in pursuing this requirement should submit a response providing detailed information on the proposed equipmenent along with a price. Responses should be sent via e-mail to adam.r.goldstein@swa.army.mil. Responses must be in PDF or.doc format. If at all possible, please include a photo of the proposed equipment.
