- This is a PRESOLICITATION Notice for the following: Procurement is 8(a) Set-Aside Project Name: HS18 Boiler Replacement at Grand Marais Harbor of Refuge Keeper's Dwelling, Grand Marais, Michigan. The North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) Code: 238220 "Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning" The Small Business Size Standard is $14 Million In accordance with FAR Subpart 36.204, the magnitude of the requirement for this contract is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 The Solicitation Number for this Project is P11PS60108. The US Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Ohio Major Acquisition Buying Office is soliciting proposals for a firm-fixed-price construction contract to provide all labor, supplies, equipment and material necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work consists of but not all inclusive furnishing all labor, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to replace Aged Boiler and Develop Zoned Heat System - Grand Marais Ranger Station-Dormitory at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Munising, Michigan.This project will involve the following: Work shall include labor, materials and equipment necessary to: consist of replacing an existing hot water boiler with two 200 MBH propane fired hot water boilers set up in a lead/lag configuration with primary/secondary pumping system, modifying the existing steam radiator system that supplies heat to the three story historic Coast Guard Station building to accommodate a three zoned (floor by floor) heat distribution system including additional convectors and repair of 2 cast iron radiators, and replace existing electric hot water tanks with 40 gallon and 120 gallon propane fired units. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested and qualified parties with the time and date to be announced in the Solicitation. The Solicitation and attachments will be posted electronically on or about July 25, 2011 at the following website: www/fedbizopps.gov. All Amendments will also be posted to this website. Responses will be due approximately 30 days following the date of posting of the Solicitation unless extended. NOTE: POSTING DATE OF SOLICITATION IS NOT DEFINATE. IF SOLICITATION IS POSTED, IT MAY BE SEVERAL WEEKS EARLIER OR LATER THAN DATE SPECIFIED ABOVE. It is the responsibility of the interested vendor to check for updates to this posting.
