Description
This is an amendment to Request for Quote VA-241-11-RQ-0947 dated 6/29/2011. The hour and date for receipt of offers is extended to 7/14/2011 @ 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. 1.This amendment is issued to respond to questions received regarding the request for quotation as follows: Question: Am I correct in assuming typographical errors in the base period and option periods estimated total hours? The description states 120 days, working Monday through Friday based on an eight hour day. That would be 960 hours rather than 540. I believe 540 hours would be the average work hours in a quarter. Also, in the two option periods of 60 days each, there would be 480 work hours rather than 270. If I am correct should I simply make the correction in the document and submit it with my proposal? Answer: There are no typographical errors. The initial period of performance is for 120 WORK days. The estimated hours for the initial 120 days is 540 hours. There is no requirement to work eight hours per day, five days per week consecutively for the 120 WORK days. Question: Also, in the line items for overtime rates, lines 2,4,6,8,10,12,14,16, and 18, should I be indicating the desired overtime rate at a cost per hour in the first blank space, and then a total based on that rate times the estimated total hours for the period? I can't imagine much need for overtime hours for these positions, but I assume you need to have the high and low range for the given periods to determine the total obligation. Please let me know if I am correct. Answer: Please see revised price/cost schedule below. Overtime rates are requested as hourly rates only. 2. This amendment is issued to correct the Price/Cost Schedule as follows: PRICE/COST SCHEDULE Contractor to provide the services described below to perform the requirements and tasks defined in the statement of work for the base period commencing with the date temporary employee enters on duty through 120 working days with two option periods consisting of 60 days each.
