- Project Number 636-11-109, Facility Enhancements for Female Veterans and Project Number 636-11-106, Renovate for Medication Room on 4 North. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to renovate various locations on the 1st and 4th floors at the Grand Island Division of the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System located at 2201 North Broadwell, Grand Island, Nebraska 68803. Demolition includes, but not limited to the following: Removal of existing doors/frames, flooring, partitions (walls), ceilings, and finishes. New work includes, but not limited to the following: alteration or tie-in to existing mechanical/electrical systems and fixtures and devices, doors/frames, flooring, partitions (walls), ceilings, casework, and finishes. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the terms, conditions, specifications and drawings of the solicitation (when available) and all applicable local and VA codes. Solicitation Number VA-263-11-IB-0501 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about July 25, 2011. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held sometime between August 1 and August 5, 2011 (See solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00
