- Sole Source Justification Hybrid XYZ Scanner Head. The solicitation number is FA8601-11-T-0179. The NAICS Code is 334513. The size standard is 500 employees. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii). The proposed sole source is Brucker-Nano. The purchase is for a refurbished Hybrid XYZ Scanner Head for the Dimension V Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, any quotation received by 11:00 am Eastern 18 July 2011 will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
