- DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS) intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) sole source contract with Minnesota Scientific INC, 4849 White Bear Pkwy, Saint Paul MN 55110-3325 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) FAC 2005-53. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A justification for other than full and open competition is being prepared in support of this acquisition. The requirements of this solicitation are as follows: Omni-Flex, Support Arm, Part# 11050 1 Each SnapClamp Blade Holder, Part# 4040 12Each Omni-Flex, Sterile Field Post, Part# 102441 Each Omni-Flex, Standard Wishbone Frame Arm, Part# 102692 Each Rake Retractor, 7/8" x ½" (2.2cm x 1.3cm), Part# 49583 Each Blade Holder with 3626 Knob, 9" (22.9cm) Replaces part# 3181, Part# 36232 Each THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. NAICS Code 339112, with a size standard of 500 employees applies to this procurement. All inquiries received by 12:00 P.M. Central Time, Wednesday, March 23, 2011, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
