- Description
- The US Army Contract Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG-CCAP) has a requirement to obtain Operation Enduring Freedom Camouflage Pattern (OCP). Soldier Plate Carrier System (SPCS) with soft ballistics and cummerbunds and optional quantities of OCP cummerbunds, OCP conversion kits, soft ballistics packages, OCP component kits in support of the Product Manager Soldier Protective Equipment (PM SPE). This synopsis represents the formalization DRAFT Request for Proposal (RFP) W91CRB-11-R-0021 which was posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website on 13 April 2011. This requirement is for: 57 First Article Test (FAT) OCP SPCS; 17,000 OCP SPCS with Soft Ballistics and Cummerbunds; 42,000 OCP Component Kits. In addition, the Government has a possible requirement for the following optional items: 64,000 OCP Cummerbund with Soft Ballistic Package; 84,000 OCP SPCS Conversion Kits without Soft Ballistic Package; 24,000 OCP SPCS with Soft Ballistic Package & Cummerbund; and 42,000 SPCS Soft Ballistic Packages. All items being procured under this requirement shall meet or exceed the requirements set forth in Purchase Description (PD) AR/PD 10-04 Rev A. 03 MAR 11. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 315299. The Government intends to issue a DO-rated, firm-fixed price (FFP)-type contract as a result of this RFP. Formal solicitation W91CRB-11-R-0021 will be posted on the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website (https://acquisition.army.mil) on 8 July 2011. The complete solicitation package, including any amendments should be received prior to submitting a response. It is the responsibility of those responding to the RFP to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents. Lisa J.
