- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a sole source basis from Harris Corporation dba Harris RF Communication, 1680 University Ave, Rochester NY 146010-1839 to purchase ten (10) Harris Tactical Display Unit (TDU) Tablets which will be used during Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) experimentation. The Harris TDUs provide a ruggedized package with organic hardware and software interfaces to legacy radio systems already in the Marine Corps inventory while also providing bluetooth and serial interfaces to allow for incorporation of experimental radio networks. Going with another solution would require cost and time prohibitive software and hardware development. This procurement will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. FOB Destination to Dahlgren, VA shall apply. The North American industry Classification System Code is 334220 with a size standard of 750 employees. The closing date is 18 July 2011. The anticipated award date is 21 July 2011. All responsible parties may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency.
